I cannot unpack the full depth of ego desires versus soul desires here (that’s something I explore deeply in my work and in other blogs), but what I want to focus on in this piece are soul desires. These are the desires that feel like holy fire. They are the callings that come from your innate gifts, your Divine Essence, your truth. They are not logical, and they rarely arrive with an explanation. They are the quiet whispers that won’t let you go.

You can try to silence them. You can roll over in bed and say, “I don’t care.” You can pretend they don’t matter. But you will be lying to yourself—because soul desires always return. They are like waves against the shore: relentless, rhythmic, never-ending. Again and again and again, they surface until you pay attention.

These are the desires that make you come alive. The visions that ignite your spirit, the ideas you cannot shake, the path you feel pulled toward even when you can’t explain why. They don’t ask for permission. They don’t wait for the perfect timing. They simply keep calling until you choose to listen. It pulled me back to my own awakening a few years ago—intense, raw, and a little wild. (At one point I even thought, please someone tell my mom I’m not going crazy, haha!) But I did take the big leap. I listened.

I am not part of the hustle culture and never will be. But I’ve learned through metaphysics and through lived experience that discipline is not your enemy—it is the ally that shapes desire into form. Creation itself is proof: even the cosmos was woven in an ordered sequence, seven days, layer by layer. Look at the sky, the trees, the planets—the whole cosmic order moves within structure and law.

And like any creation, they require an exchange: in the physical world we pay with money, in the spiritual world we pay with energy, devotion, and discipline. Without structure, desires remain smoke.
